The Association of Banks in Fiji says apart from the Suva and Nausori lockdown containment zones, bank branches around the country will remain open on Monday 17th and Tuesday 18th May.

It says all banks apart from the Suva and Nausori lockdown containment zones will now open from 9am to 3pm until further notice.

This is in line with the new curfew hours announced by the Ministry of Health.

They say customers may experience limited services in these branches over these two days due to diminished back-office support based in Suva.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Development Bank says its Head Office in Suva and Nausori branches will be closed on Monday and Tuesday and business will resume on Wednesday with only essential face to face cashier services.

The FDB says all other branches will have normal business hours and their Nadi and Lautoka branches will only be offering cashier services.
