Aussie Green crowned Mini 7s champions after beating France 26-19 in the final

Aussie Green has been crowned champions of the Fiji Airways Mini International 7s tournament leg 2 after ending France's unbeaten run in an electric 1st and 2nd place final with a 26-19 win at Churchill Park in Lautoka this afternoon.

France opened the scoring in the 2nd minute of the game with a converted try to lead 7-0 before Aussie replied 2 minutes later with a converted try to level the score at 7-all.

The Australians scored a further two tries in the first half with one conversion for a 19-7 lead at halftime.

The French regrouped and came back stronger in the second half to score two tries and a successful conversion to lock the score at 19-all.

Aussie came back and scored their winning try in the 5th minute of the second half with a successful conversion to claim the win.

Meanwhile, the NZ Black Ferns finished 5th after outclassing Aussie Gold 36-5 and the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side claimed 3rd spot after beating USA 19-7.
