Head of the Catholic Church in Fiji, Archbishop Peter Loy Chong.

The Head of the Catholic Church in Fiji, Archbishop Peter Loy Chong has encouraged people who are in the lockdown areas to reflect on what God would like them to do as they spend the next few days with their families at home.

While delivering his virtual Ascension Sunday Mass message Archbishop Chong says today is a special day for the church and all of those who are in lockdown as many of us find ourselves at home.

Ascension Sunday marks the ascent of Christ into heaven on the 40th day after the Resurrection.

He says this is a great time to be with family and we all need to show love and care for each other during this pandemic.

Archbishop Chong says being restricted is not the end of the world.
