All Sanatan schools will be closed for Holi, Ram Naumi and Krishna Janam Ashtami celebrations.

This has been confirmed by the Ministry of Education after the Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji's request for the closure of Sanatan schools to celebrate these Hindu festivals.

Sanatan schools will be closed on the 26th of this month for the Holi celebration, on the 17th of April for Ram Naumi and on the 26th of August for Krishna Janam Ashtami.

Permanent Secretary for Education Selina Kurileca says the Heads of Schools need to ensure that arrangements are made for the loss of teaching and learning time at a later date.
