Students affected by TC Yasa and whose parents are facing difficulties in purchasing uniforms can go to school in civilian clothing for the time being.

Education Minister Rosy Akbar has stressed they will not pressure parents and students on uniform, footwear and stationery as all they want is for students to return to school.

She is asking parents not to pressure themselves as this is the time to rebuild their homes and lives.

Akbar says students in TC Yasa affected areas will be assisted with school bags and supplies.

The 2021 school year will start on the 18th of this month for teachers and 19th of this month for students.
