The captivating track "Aaj Ki Raat" from the movie Stree 2 has been crowned the number one song of 2024 in Navtarang's Top 100 Countdown, earning its place as the most-listened song of the year.

The top five featured some of the year’s biggest hits, including Khoobsurat from Stree 2 in fifth place and Laal Peeli Ankhiya from the movie Teri Baato Mei Ayesa Uljha Jiya at number four.

Tauba-Tauba from Bad News claimed the third spot, while Teri Baato Mei, also from Teri Baato Mei Ayesa Uljha Jiya, secured second place.

Senior Content Director, Satya Nand says the songs were chosen from a pool of over 150 tracks, ensuring the countdown reflected the best music of the year.

He says the selection process included Navtarang’s weekly Top 20, international hits, chart-toppers from India, superhit movie tracks, and viral songs from platforms like TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram.

Nandd says listener feedback and input from the station’s personalities also played a key role in finalizing the list.

Nand wishes everyone a Happy New Year, filled with happiness, proud moments and cherished memories.

Meanwhile, Radio Sargam hosted Golden Shots, a special feature playing the best songs from each decade, where Aaj Ki Raat once again claimed the number one spot.

The Navtarang Countdown was sponsored by Vodafone, FMF, Motibhai’s, and the Tertiary Scholarship and Loans Service, while Golden Shots was sponsored by Vodafone and FMF.
