It was a historic day for 9 students of Visama Sanatan Primary School, Ba Sanatan College, Pundit Shreedhar Maharaj College and Chauhan Memorial Primary College as Shree Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji for the first time gave awards to these students for scoring highest marks in Hindi for Year 8, Year 12 and Year 13 internal examination during their awards function last night.

Sabha General Secretary Krishneel Tiwari says this was the way forward for Sanatan Fiji in promoting and encouraging Hindi language amongst youths.

He says after a lapse of 3 years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Sabha also hosted the event and gave awards to their hardworking members and Sanatan followers.

Tiwari says the Sabha also awarded Ramayan Mandalis and Mahila Mandals (Mother’s Club), who are affiliated and contributed in the growth of Sanatan Fiji for more than 10 years.

He says they also awarded life time membership to Tara Mahabir, Umla Wati and Mohan Singh who have significantly contributed towards development of Sanatan Fiji.

He says the most prestigious award and highest order for Sanatan Fiji is “Sanatan Ratna” which was awarded to 5 members including Late Ravishwar Chandra, Lalita Sharma, Sat Narayan Sharma, Parwanand and Suresh Pratap.

The General Secretary adds this awards function was such a memorable one as National President, Dhirendra Nand awarded Sanatan Ratna to late Ravishwar Chandra’s family as an appreciation for Chandra’s hard work, dedication and contribution towards Sanatan values and principle.
