523,505 eligible Fijians have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine and 196,457 people are now fully vaccinated.

This means 89.2 percent of the eligible population have received the first dose while 33.5 percent are fully vaccinated nationwide.

Fiji’s target population for vaccination is 586,651 adults.

Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama has said that by 1st November 2021, we expect to have at least 80 percent of that group fully vaccinated.

He stresses until that day arrives, we must demonstrate the basic responsibility to adhere to all of our COVID-safe measures.
