81 families in home-isolation receive food packs from the govt

Distribution in Natokowaqa in Lautoka to start today

81 families who are in home isolation in areas in Lami, Suva, Nasinu, Nausori, Lautoka and Ba received food packs from the government yesterday.

52 packs were distributed in areas in Lami, Suva, Nasinu and Nausori while 29 packs were delivered to families in Lautoka and Ba.

The 52 household packs were distributed in Khalsa, Koronivia, Lami, Nabua, Nadawa, Nadera, Nakasi, Narere, Nausori, Navuso, Raiwaqa, Samabula, Tacirua, Tamavua, Valelevu, Vatuwaqa, Wainibokasi and Wainibuku.

The government says to date, around 2,690 packs have been delivered to families in home isolation in areas in Lami, Suva, Nasinu and Nausori.

They also delivered 29 household packs in Banaras, Kashmir, Lautoka, Namoli, Natokowaqa, Navetau, Tavarau, Tomuka, Vitogo, Viseisei Back Road, Vuda and Waiyavi.

Around 108 packs have been delivered by the government to families in home isolation in Lautoka and Ba areas.

The government adds a total of around 11,597 groceries and essential items packs including 2,774 new household packs have been distributed to those families in targeted lockdown and home isolation.

To date, a total of 41,097 food ration, grocery, essential items and household packs have been distributed by the Fijian Government.

The Ministry of Economy Data Entry Team has also started to work on data entry and verification for the lockdown community at PRB Natokowaqa Housing, Lautoka.

They say about 138 families are in the cordoned area and Round 1 of distribution will to start today because the registration of household information and their needs, need to be entered into the list.
