A 56-year-old man has died after he was hit by a vehicle driven by a 63-year-old man while he was crossing the road near the Viseisei bypass in Lautoka yesterday.
Police say the man was rushed to the Lautoka Hospital and was pronounced dead on arrival while the suspect remains admitted at the Lautoka Hospital.
The road death toll currently stands at 66 compared to 35 for the same period last year.
