A 46-year-old man has died following an accident that occurred along Queens Road near Navola.
Police say the victim was heading towards Suva when it is alleged that he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and hit a mango tree.
They say the victim was conveyed to the Sigatoka Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The road death now stands at 51 compared to 20 for the same period last year.
