42 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Guam

Guam has confirmed 42 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the total up to 558 cases with five deaths.

Guam's Governor Lou Leon Guerrero announced the new cases saying that 17 people have been identified through contact tracing and two were recent arrivals from the United States.

To date, 13 people have been admitted in the hospital with the virus while four are in the ICU.

There are 201 active COVID-19 cases in Guam and 352 people have been released from isolation.

The Governor is urging everyone on the island to stay at home and avoid unnecessary travel, wear a mask and practice social distancing.

According to Johns Hopkins University, there are 21,749,290 cases and 776,395 deaths worldwide from COVID-19.
