Quick coordination efforts has resulted in the arrest of four youths for their alleged involvement in separate cases of burglaries over the last 48-hour period within the Southern Division.

Police say they received a call for assistance around 9pm last night at the Police Command Coordination Center, which saw the deployment of officers from Raiwaqa Police Station and K9 Unit to Jittu Estate, where they caught the suspect inside the victim’s house.

The suspect was arrested and taken into custody.

They say in the second report of the alleged house break-in in Bayview Heights, a team from the Nabua Police Station and K9 Unit were deployed to the scene, and managed to track the two suspects at Sukanaivalu Road where recoveries of the alleged stolen items were also made.

In another incident, a Nasinu Police Operations team was deployed to the scene of a house break-in at Qaranivalu Road, where they were able to arrest the suspect hiding in a cassava patch and recovered some of the alleged stolen items.

All four suspects remain in custody as investigations continue.
