Police say the student allegedly overtook the 53 year old man’s car whilst he was trying to turn into a side road resulting in the accident.

They add 2 of the passengers travelling with the student were admitted at the Lautoka Hospital after sustaining injuries.

Police also say a 28-year old electrician was injured after he was allegedly hit by a vehicle driven by a woman along Pritam Singh Road in Tuirara.

They say the driver allegedly fell asleep causing the vehicle to veer off the road resulting in the accident.

The man remains admitted at the CWM Hospital as investigations continue.

This morning, a vehicle driven by a man in his 30s veered off the road and tumbled along the Queens Road.

A woman in her 50s has been conveyed to the Nadi Hospital for treatment as investigations continue.
