The Fiji Police Force has received a timely boost to their COVID-19 operations through the donation of Personal Protective Equipment from the Korea International Cooperation Agency or KOICA.

This includes 2,000 reusable masks and 1,000 disposable surgical masks.

KOICA Country Director Kapche Ra handed over the PPE’s to the Acting Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu.

Tudravu says officers are vulnerable to this virus because they are working as frontline workers and all the assistance that goes towards offering a greater sense of protection is truly appreciated by the organisation.

KOICA Country Director Kapche Ra says the donation was their gesture of gratitude for the work conducted by the Police with the current containment efforts.

He says they look forward to increasing cooperation programs in specific areas of policing.

KOICA is a Korean government-funded grant aid and development organization.
