It was an emotional moment for 25-year-old Eva Tovoleisuva after she graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce and Management during the USP Laucala Campus Graduation ceremony yesterday.

In an interview with fijivillage News, Tovoleisuva says all her hard work and challenges she had to conquer have finally paid off and she is excited to have managed to reach the finish line.

When asked how she felt about her achievement, the emotional mother says she felt proud of herself for making it to the finish line.

She says at one point, she thought of giving up after she became pregnant and she thought she was not going graduate.

Tovoleisuva says that after giving birth to her son, she was motivated to keep working hard and finish the race.

She says the thought of providing for her son also pushed her to work even harder to achieve her dream.

She now turns her focus on pursuing her studies in for a Masters and doing a PhD and make her family even more proud.

Tovoleisuva dedicated her achievement to her parents for their sacrifices towards her studies and her son.

Meanwhile, there were over 1,000 tertiary students who graduated on day 1 of the USP Laucala Campus Graduation Ceremony yesterday at the Vodafone Arena, Suva.
