32 teams have confirmed their participation in the Nausori Rugby 10s tournament that will be held next Friday and Saturday.

Tournament organiser Malakai Yamaivava says it will be an exciting two days of rugby as there will be a lot of grassroots teams looking to showcase what their players are capable of.

Some top teams that have confirmed their participation are Eastern Saints Gold, Eastern Saints Blue and Ram Sami Nasinu.

Yamaivava says this tournament will help some of these provincial teams like Rewa, Naitasiri, Tailevu and Northland get some game times for their players before the start of the Skipper Cup competition and the Vodafone Vanua Championship later in February.

He says this is also one way of developing grassroots rugby, and that is to invest more into organising tournaments like this.

Yamaivava is calling on all supporters and fans to come out in numbers and show their support for these grassroots teams and also help with the development of grassroots rugby.

The Nausori Rugby 10s tournament will be held at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.
