Home Affairs Minister, Pio Tikoduadua

Minister for Home Affairs Pio Tikoduadua has confirmed that he has received some notes on the allegations of police brutality and investigations are ongoing.

This is after a woman posted on social media claiming her brother was allegedly assaulted by police officers from Nausori and they stole $185 and a mobile phone.

Tikoduadua says he has followed up with the Police and they are investigating the matter.

He adds Police are also investigating the incident that happened in Nadi last week where a Police vehicle hit a perpetrator that was on the run from police during a foot chase that went viral on social media.
