Marist tipped as hot favourites to win the Coke Games

Marist Brothers High School is looking hot to win the boys division title in this year’s Coca-Cola Games although they are expected to face tough competition from schools like defending champion Suva Grammar, Queen Victoria School, Ratu Kadavulevu School and Natabua High School.

Marist has built a strong squad this year that resulted in their Suva Zone 2 win earlier this month.

The Red Fire Camp from Flagstaff set their objective for this year’s Coke Games and that was to be back in the top 5 by the end of the meet this weekend.

They won the zone with 27 gold, 25 silver and 20 bronze while Grammar finished in second place with 17 gold, 20 silver and 20 bronze.

With medals expected to scatter yet again this year as many athletes come and push the hot favourites, Marist is focused on making improvements in every event they take part in.

Marist Coach, Antonio Raboiliku says they will try to bring back the fire that Marist has lost for quite a while and it is all about going back to the drawing board.

He further says they are confident and are hoping that come Saturday, they will be able to achieve positive results.

The Coke Games will be held from tomorrow to Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium. Stay with us for coverage and you can get all the action on our website and app, fijivillage.
