The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team has won their first match at the Sydney 7s after beating Japan 34-5.
Fiji scored 5 tries in the match where Josua Vakurinabili scored two tries while Waisea Nacuqu, Alasio Naduva and Kalione Nasoko scored a try each.

Fiji had struggled in the first half but got their rhythm in the second half.

Fiji led 10-0 at half-time.
Naduva who was a second half subsitute scored a spectacular try after chasing a kick-off after Fiji’s try and then acrobatically scoring the try close to the dead ball line.
Coach Gareth Baber told the players at halftime to keep up the intensity.
Fiji will now play England at 6.02pm while Fiji will play their last pool game against Samoa at 10.07 tonight.
The Cup quarterfinals start at 1.16pm tomorrow, the semifinals start at 5.16pm while the final will start at 9.56pm tomorrow.
