Family assistance program files to be rectified

All current files that are currently under the family assistance program will be rectified by the Ministry of Social Welfare.  

Permanent Secretary Govind Sami said that this is to verify and check whether these clients continue to qualify under the Poverty Benefit Scheme and to try to reduce the number of recipients.

He said this assistance will now be targeting 13,000 households.
