Naihehe Cave system can now be toured
Fiji's largest Naihehe Cave system in Sigatoka can now be toured on an Off-Road Cave Safari.

Safari Founder, Jay Whyte said that more than 170 metre Naihehe Cave was once a fortress for a cannibal tribe and the reminders of it's dark history like a cannibal oven, a ritual platform and priest chamber can all be viewed by touring guests.

He added that tour guests will be given first had experience of the Cave and taken back in time of its cannibalistic history.

Fiji's last recorded case of cannibalism was in 1867 when Reverend Thomas Baker and seven iTaukei Christian workers were killed in the Navosa Highlands.
