People to be questioned for allegedly harboring escapees
A few people will be taken in for questioning soon by police for allegedly harboring escaped prisoners.

Police chief of operations Assistant Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu said the five prisoners who were recaptured yesterday were allegedly harbored by their close friends and associates.

Two of the three remand prisoners, 32-year-old Daniel Thomas and 39-year-old Maleli Vinakasigadua, who escaped from the Nadi Police Station last week were arrested yesterday afternoon in Ba.

Meanwhile, a third remand prisoner Sanaila Tabuavula who escaped from the Korovou prison on Sunday night was also recaptured yesterday afternoon at Veiraisi Settlement.

Three remand prisoners are still on the run.

Tudravu said their main aim is to immediately recapture these prisoners and following that others will be questioned for harboring the prisoners.

He added assistance from members of the public led to the arrest of the escaped prisoners yesterday and he is seeking further assistance for information on the prisoners still at large.
