The Prime Minister today awarded thirty five businesses and individuals who have a history of paying their Customs Duty and Taxes fully and on time.
These tax payers have been identified for the initial phase of Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority Gold Card Premium Services.
During the launch of this service and FRCA's revamped website at the FRCA Complex this morning, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama highlighted that unfortunately there have always been a group of people in Fiji who try to avoid paying taxes, sometimes through cheating and corruption.
Commodore Bainimarama said in the 2013 National Budget to be announced this Thursday, tax payers will know that the taxes they pay are well spent.
FRCA CEO, Jitoko Tikolevu highlighted that these tax payers will remain members for three years provided they remain compliant.
Meanwhile, in the coming weeks, FRCA's Sigatoka and Rakiraki branches will be officially opened.
