Youths face a lot of problems and International Youth Day today is a time when we can get together and try to highlight the issues and find solutions on a national level.
These are the words of Adventist Development and Relief Agency Youth Officer Fina Suliano on the workshop at the Holiday Inn commemorating International Youth Day with over a hundred youths from government agencies, NGOs and youth groups.
The workshop was opened by Director Youth and Sports Makereta Sauturaga who said youths genuinely present to us an opportunity to correct mistakes of the past, they are our chance for a better future.
She added we cannot imagine any other way of harnessing this potential than listening and considering their thoughts and ideas about their own development.
Meanwhile, FTUC Youth Secretary Monish Dutt said youths must also be strong in today's world and strive towards their dreams.
The Youth Ministry said youths make up almost 35 per cent of Fiji's population.
