Naviti Resort fire started from Kids club

The fire which destroyed parts of the Naviti Resort on Thursday started from the Kids club.

That is the confirmation by National Fire Authority CEO John O’Connor who was at Naviti resort today talking to the staff.

O'Connor said that they are almost completing the investigations at the resort and they will discuss the outcome with the management of Naviti and will soon disclose the result to the public.

The fire had destroyed the main lounge, restaurants, shops and offices at the hotel.

Meanwhile Naviti resort Executive Director Tammie Tam said they are focusing on cleaning up as they would like to resume normal operations as soon as possible.

Tam said they have even started accommodating some guests.
