Timoci Lolohea has been sentenced to mandatory life imprisonment by High Court Judge Justice Salesi Temo.

High Court Judge Justice, Salesi Temo has sentenced Timoci Lolohea to mandatory life imprisonment for murdering his defacto partner in Nadera.

Justice Temo says that Lolohea has to serve a minimum of 18 years before he can apply for presidential pardon.

While sentencing Lolohea, Justice Temo said that Lolohea has to pay the price for murder.

Justice Temo says that there were other options that Lolohea could have taken when he found out about the affair, but he chose murder and the penalty for murder is life imprisonment.

He adds that Lolohea and the victim were in a relationship when she was 18 and Lolohea was 51 and he killed her when she was 23 and he was 55.

He says the maximum penalty for murder is life sentence but the minimum term that has to be served is 18 years after which the file can be opened again for presidential pardon.
