Suva fans have turned up in numbers to support their New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks teams for the Super Bowl LX screening at Damodar City with the U.S Embassy of Suva.
Avid New England Patriots fan, David Yenktesh thinks Seattle is going to take it because their defense is better.
Yenktesh, who lived in the US for over 30 years, says their quarterback Drake Maye is a rookie while Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold has had an up an down career.
The Raiwaqa resident reckons the points will be 27-20 to the Seahawks.
He says whichever defence has the most turnovers are the ones that are going to win.
U.S Charge d' Affairs, John Degory says this year's Super Bowl watch party also serves as the kickoff of the U.S Embassy's initiative to promote American football across Fiji ahead of the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympics, where flag football will make its Olympic debut.
Degory says they are working with American and Fijian partners across government, schools, and the private sector to provide training, coaching, and support for the growth of American football in Fiji.
He says the U.S Embassy is supporting the efforts by Fijians to develop, train and field flag football teams in international competitions and encourages them to go for gold.
