Extra Bula FC captain Roy Krishna believes his side will improve in their next outing after opening their OFC Pro League campaign with a 2-all draw against Vanuatu United at Eden Park in Auckland.

Krishna says the team showed strong character despite the nerves and excitement that come with a tournament opener.

While his side controlled much of the match, Krishna acknowledged that their lack of experience became evident after they took the lead.

Krishna also defended goalkeeper Didier Desprez, describing him as an experienced player who would quickly learn from the error.

He also praised the support from Fiji fans and encouraged even more supporters to attend the next match.

Bula FC are now focusing on their next match on Tuesday, when they will face South Island United at 2pm at North Harbour Stadium in Auckland.

The side will wrap up Round 1 with a clash against Auckland FC next Friday at 6pm, also at North Harbour Stadium.
