The McDonald's Mike Friday Select 7s are through to the cup semi finals of the McDonald's Coral Coast Fiji 7s after edging Jack's of Fiji Devo Babas 10-7 this afternoon.
Devo Babas struck first through Esala Boseiwaqa who strolled in for an easy try to give them an early 7-0 lead.
Former USA winger Perry Baker smoked defenders down the sideline to get a double and give his team the win in front of a roaring crowd at Lawaqa Park.
In other quarter finals, Ravuka Sharks thumped NZ Development 7s 24-7, Yaro Chiefs beat NZ Fijian Cavalier 7s 31-5, while Police Blue defeated Australia Select 19-14.
The cup semi finals will kick off at 1.30pm tomorrow with the cup final at 5.35pm.
The Taveuni Fiji Grassroots team are through to the Bred Bank Youth semi finals after defeating Bilo Bar Aflame Brothers 7-0.
Also through are St Theresa Nukubalavu, who defeated JVJQ Brothers 15-7, Brisk Birdland Brothers edged Tubarua Highlanders 24-19, while Village Boys secured the last spot in the semi finals after overcoming Axellarate Dominion Brothers 17-12.
The Youth Cup semi finals will kick off at 12.45pm tomorrow, with the Cup final to be held at 5.05pm tomorrow.
In the Women's games, Police Blue thumped Pacific Nomads 19-0, Bilo Bar Aflame Women beat NaDraki Lilian Amazons 21-07, the Briars defeated NZ Development 7s 38-19, while the Fijiana 7s beat China 1 21-12.
