It was not the result Extra Bula FC wanted in the second round of the OFC Pro League, as they suffered a 1–0 loss to Tahiti United this evening in Papua New Guinea.
The Bula FC said it is all part of the game, and they will come back stronger, learning from every moment.
This marks the team’s second loss of the tournament.
Coach Stephane Auvray made his first substitution of the match in the 77th minute. Sterling Vasconcellos, Setareki Hughes, and Nabil Begg were replaced by Christopher Wasasala, Filipe Baravilala, and Thomas Dunn. Despite the changes, the team was unable to find the equaliser.
Tahiti United picked up their second win after also winning their first match. Teaonui Tehau scored the only goal for Tahiti United.
The Bula FC will next face Vanuatu United FC on February 22nd, with the kick-off time yet to be confirmed.
