Fijian Drua CEO Mark Evans .

After three years with the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua, CEO Mark Evans will be leaving the Club at the end of December this year for personal reasons.

Fijian Drua Board Chairman, Brent Impey acknowledged the dedication and experience Evans brought to the Drua, saying Evans arrived at the Drua at just the right time, bringing an outstanding set of skills backed up by a deep love for and experience with Super Rugby.

He says Evans has contributed tremendously to getting the foundation in place for the Drua to be successful both on and off the field.

Impey says Evans has set up the Drua as a professional sports operation that enjoys the best broadcast stats in the Pacific, an incredible offline and online fanbase, incorporated the Fijian Drua women’s team, turned on some of the most exciting games of the last two seasons, and built a wonderful sporting club, supported by a world-class high-performance team.

He adds Evans decision to resign from the role is a personal one, and the Board has accepted his notice.

The Chairman says they are a long way down the track in terms of appointing a successor and expect to announce the successful candidate very shortly.

He says Evans will continue in the role until 31st December 2025 and continue as a trustee of the Drua Foundation, which the Drua established this year to support the development of young rugby talent and using the Drua brand to drive a number of social impact programmes across Fiji.

Meanwhile, the Fijian Drua have confirmed seven home games for the 2026 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season, kicking off with their match against Moana Pasifika on the 14th of February at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

They will then take on take on the Hurricanes on the 28th of February at Churchill Park, followed by their match against the Brumbies at Four R Stadium in Ba on the 14th of March, they will play the Reds at Churchill Park on the 21st of March and meet the Western Force on the 11th of April.
