Fiji-born Queensland Reds utility back Filipo Daugunu is back on the wing this weekend for their Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific round 15 clash against the Hurricanes after being named to start in the number 11 jersey.

The 30-year-old has been playing in the centres in most of the games this season.

Daugunu recently re-signed with the Reds and Rugby Australia this week, extending his contract for a further two years.

Coach Less Kiss has named a strong 23-man matchday squad that will look to defend their home turf.

Sef Fa'agase, Richie Asiata, and Zane Nonggorr will start in the front row, Josh Canham and Ryan Smith will partner up at locks, Joe Brial and Fraser McReight will be on the flanks, and Harry Wilson will start at number 8.

Tate McDermott and Tom Lynagh will pair up in the halves, Daugunu and Lachie Anderson will be on the wings, Hunter Paisami and Dre Pakeho will partner up in the centres and Jock Campbell will be at fullback.

In the reserves, Josh Nasser, Jeff Toomaga-Allen, Trevor King, Angus Blyth, and John Bryant will cover the forwards, while Kalani Thomas, Harry McLaughlin-Phillips, and Tim Ryan will cover the backs.

Meanwhile, the Reds currently sit in 4th place in the Super Rugby Pacific points table with 32 points.

The Reds will be hosting the Hurricanes at 9.35pm tomorrow at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.

In other Super Rugby Pacific round 15 matches this week, the Highlanders will take on the Crusaders at 7.05pm tomorrow, the Chiefs will host Moana Pasifika at 7.05pm Saturday, and the Force will take on the Waratahs at 9.35pm Saturday.
