Bellamy slams Kamikamica and Olam after Storm’s 18-8 loss to Sea Eagles

Melbourne Storm coach Craig Bellamy has slammed Fiji Bati international Tui Kamikamica and PNG international Justin Olam and questioned what planet were they on after the Storm went down fighting 18-8 to Manly Sea Eagles last night.

The Storm pair both targeted Manly halfback Daly Cherry-Evans late in the second half with illegal hits, spending 10 minutes on the sideline.

Their absence helped the Sea Eagles secure a hard-fought 18-8 victory to bounce back after a flogging at the hands of the reigning premiers in Round 6.

Bellamy believes his side shot themselves in the foot and never allowed themselves into the contest, lamenting Olam and Kamikamica’s decisions to hit their opposing halfback late.

Storm skipper Christian Welch believes his side took a big step backward.

He says the competition is too close and there are too many good teams.

In other games last night, the Sharks beat the Roosters 22-12 while the Rabbitohs beat the Dolphins 36-14 on Thursday night.

In other games this weekend, the Warriors will play the Cowboys at 5pm today, the Knights will take on the Panthers at 7.30 tonight and the Titans will play the Broncos at 9.35 tonight.

The Raiders will play the Dragons at 4pm tomorrow and the Eels will play the Bulldogs at 6.05pm tomorrow.
