BLK Lavidi Brothers lead Fiji Bitter 7s Series

The BLK Lavidi Brothers are currently leading the Fiji Bitter 7s Series with 680.450 points as the Series comes to its final leg at the 48th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament.

Police Blue are currently in second place with 511.140 points followed by Dominion Brothers in 3rd place with 474.350 points.

The Fiji Bitter Series kicked off with the Malake 7s which was won by Police Blue, followed by the Mataso 7s which was won by Dominion Brothers.

Police Blue won the following two tournaments, the Yasawa 7s and Labasa 7s before BLK Lavidi won the Savusavu 7s.

Fiji Babas won the Yalovata 7s, the Wairiki 7s was scooped by Police Blue, the Nahehevia 7s was won by Fire, Army Green won the Nawaka 7s and Fire took out the Tabadamu 7s that was held last week.

The winner of the Fiji Bitter series will be decided tomorrow after the conclusion of the Marist 7s.

The winner will also be walking away with $10,000 prize money.

Meanwhile, the Marist 7s men's competition kicked off today at the HFC Bank Stadium, with the Under 21 and Women's categories starting yesterday.

In some of the results from men's pool matches today, FlameTree Colo-i-Suva beat Marist 22-12, St. John's Draiba defeated Wainimala Babas 14-7, Joma Brothers beat Chill Bar Lami Cavaliers 12-5, Namosi Highlanders overcame Mataravua Rugby 19-12, Viria Blues defeated Eastbank Brothers 14-0, DXC Babarians thrashed Senigigia 36-0, Police Blue defeated Lavidi Brothers 19-12, 21-10, Uluinakau defeated Flame Tree Waimanu 24-7, Royal Navy beat Sidefloat Buliya 26-14, Raiwasa Taveuni beat Varon Garden Eagle 14-5 and Post Fiji Tabadamu defeated Ratu Filise 19-12.

In other matches played earlier this morning, Bula Eats Lakeba beat Vomo Island Resort 12-5, Ratu Filise beat Viwa Spartans 22-0, Post Fiji Tabadamu beat Veilomani Brothers 24-19, Wainimala Babas beat Marist 17-7, Navala edged Bua Babas 7-0, Bula Brothers defeated Viria Blues 19-0, Ravuka Sharks beat DXC Babarians 19-6, Army Green defeated Dominion Brothers 22-5 and NZ 7s edged Lavidi Brothers 7-5, Namosi Highlanders beat Viria Blues 5-0, DXC Babarians thrashed Wainibuku Rugby 43-0, Dominion Brothers beat Lavidi Brothers 14-7, NZ 7s defeated Fire Rugby 22-10, Kavala Bay Babas beat Royal Navy 12-7 and Flametree Waimanu defeated Sidefloat Buliya 15-5, Kavala Bay Babas beat Uluinakau Babas 10-7, Namara Blues defeated Sidefloat Buliya 15-0, Raiwasa Taveuni beat Lakeba 29-7, Ratu Filise edged Mosquito Rugby 12-0, Tabadamu defeated White Dove Brothers 12-5, Flame Tree Colo-i-Suva beat Nayavu Old Boys 21-0, Navala beat Lami Cavaliers 19-0 and Bua Babas defeated Joma Brothers 14-5.
