Pablo Matera has been reinstated Argentina’s captain but will not face the Wallabies in tomorrow’s final Tri-Nations test.

Matera was stripped of the captaincy role and was suspended from the Sydney test, alongside teammates Guido Petto and Santiago Socino, after racists tweets resurfaced.

The social media posts, up to nine-years-old, were described by the Argentina Rugby Union as "discriminatory and xenophobic."

The Argentinian Rugby Union lifted the ban yesterday following a disciplinary hearing, confirming Matera's reinstatement, although all three will not play at Bankwest Stadium.

The UAR says the Disciplinary Committee has considered and assessed the attitude of the three players during this process and understands that they have not repeated this actions and that they have shown during this time to be people with a firm and upright value worthy of being part of our team.

Jeronimo de la Fuente (Fu-en-te) will captain the Argentinian side against the Wallabies tomorrow while Felipe Ezcurra and Nicolas Sanchez will team up at halfback and first five-eighth.

Argentina meets the Wallabies at 8.45pm tomorrow.
