Rabuka condemns antisemitic terrorist attack at Bondi Beach

Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Sitiveni Rabuka, has strongly condemned the antisemitic terrorist attack at Bondi Beach in Australia yesterday, during celebrations of the first day of the Jewish festival of Hanukkah.

Expressing his heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones, Rabuka says there should be zero tolerance for terrorism, hate, violence, and such inhumane acts should be condemned in all forms.

He says Fiji stands strong with its Vuvale during this difficult time, adding that the thoughts and prayers of the people of Fiji are with the families of the victims and the survivors.

The Prime Minister also acknowledged the extraordinary acts of bravery by Australian police officers and bystanders, commending their great courage in saving innocent lives.

He expressed hope that justice will prevail, peace will be restored, and the resilience of Australia’s people will remain strong.
