20 Fijian gymnasts to compete in Gold Coast Aerobic Gymnastics

Twenty young gymnasts from Fiji, aged between 7 and 14, are gearing up to represent the nation at the upcoming Aerobic Gymnastics Competition in Gold Coast, Australia.

Team Fiji Manager Maria Alvarado says the athletes are in high spirits and fully prepared, with no injury concerns ahead of the competition.

Speaking to fijivillage Sports, Alvarado expressed confidence in the team’s readiness and enthusiasm, saying the participants have trained hard and are excited to showcase their skills on the international stage.

Alvarado, who has been managing teams since the event’s inception in 2023, is optimistic about a strong performance this year.

She highlighted one standout among the team: Ariah, one of the youngest participants, who will be competing for the first time in the Level 3 Individual Event.

Alvarado says it’s not just Ariah’s first competition—it’s also a proud moment as she steps onto the floor to represent Team Fiji in Australia.

The competition starts on the 19th of this month.
