Cuvu College U18 in action against MBHS U18 at the Deans SFs last weekend

The province of Nadroga and the Nadroga Rugby team are giving their full support to the Cuvu College Under 18 team ahead of the Powerade Super Deans Championship final against Ratu Kadavulevu School this weekend.

After failing to win the HFC Bank Farebrother Challenge match against Naitasiri last weekend, the trophy cabinet is empty for Nadroga and their hopes are now with the boys from Cuvu to make history.

Cuvu coach Meciusela Navitio says that Tiko Matawalu has been assisting him with technical advice.

He adds that most of their players are 16-year-olds while four of their players featured in last year’s competition.

Cuvu College created history last weekend in reaching the Deans final for the first time since the inception of competition in 1939.

They will face the defending champion RKS at the ANZ Stadium this Saturday and you can catch the live commentary of this match on Viti FM 92.2FM.
