Five players who featured for the Samoan rugby sevens side in last weekend’s Fiji Water Oceania 7s will be back in Gold Coast this week.

Samoan Coach Viliamu Punivalu said he brought eight new players to Fiji last week and he decided the five players deserved to be exposed in the world scene.

Punivalu added one of those players is Misioka Timoteo who scored three tries against Fiji in the Oceania 7s final last week.

Punivalu also said that Timoteo can be compared to Alafoti Fa’aosiliva and Ofisa Treviranus.

The Gold Coast 7s kicks off at 12.30pm Saturday and Samoa is pooled with Argentina, Australia and Scotland.

Meanwhile, Fiji’s first pool match is against Canada at 1.58pm Saturday.

Fiji’s second match is against Portugal at 5.14pm and the last pool match will be against Wales at 9.24pm.

The Cup quarterfinals start at 1.58pm on Sunday, Cup semis kicks off at 5.58pm and the Cup final will be played at 9.04pm.
