Team Fiji bags 17 medals at Special Olympics World Summer Games

Team Fiji for the 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games

Team Fiji has bagged a total of 17 medals at the end of the 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Abu Dhabi.

Team Fiji won 7 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 6 bronze medals.

17 year old Robert Rabaka won 4 gold medals in the 50m freestyle and the 50m backstroke while Venina Vokai bagged gold in the 400m event.

Aca-kurumi Turagakece also won a gold in the 1500m open water swimming competition.

Team Fiji competed in 4 events including athletics, swimming, table tennis and football.
