Edinburgh based Netani Talei will captain the Flying Fijians to the Pacific Nations Cup.
The former Marist Brothers High School student who made his debut in 2006 against Tonga was named the best number eight in Europe two weeks ago.
Talei will join six other overseas based players in the side which also includes Alusio Buto, Nemia Kenatale, Vereniki Goneva, Apisai Naikatini, Jerry Yanuyanutawa and Malakai Ravulo.
Following the Japan test, Kameli Ratuvou, Niko Ratumaitavuki, Josefa Domolailai and Tuapati Talemaitoga will join the squad in Japan in preparation for Fiji’s second PNC match against Samoa on June 10th.
The Flying Fijians will play Japan next Tuesday at 10.10pm in its first match of the PNC.
