All Blacks star, Ardie Savea is demanding a change following the controversial Technical Match Official involvement during the Hurricanes 26-23 nail-biting victory over the Jaguares on Sunday.

While replacement fly-half, Fletcher Smith was about to convert Jamie Booth's match-winning try, Argentinian Santiago Borsani interrupted the proceedings, asking that he wanted to check for a forward pass.

A confused looking referee, Rasta Rasivhenge ignored the request saying he was happy with the try.

Savea, who is still recovering from a knee injury, was watching the match on TV and took to social media to voice his displeasure.

Savea posted on his Instagram page that “great work was done Rasta, but they cannot have this in the game. This needs to be looked into or something has to be changed”.

Any involvement from the TMO slows the game down but rules state they can only intervene if asked to by the referee or on suspicions of foul play.

The Hurricanes will take on the Sharks at 6.05pm Saturday.

Looking at other matches this week, the Blues will take on the Crusaders at 6.05pm Friday, the Rebels will face the Waratahs at 8.15pm Friday, the Sunwolves will play the Chiefs at 3.45pm Saturday, the Brumbies will face the Highlanders at 8.15pm Saturday, the Lions will play the Stormers at 1.05am Sunday and the Reds will take the Jaguares at 9.40am Sunday.
