Samoan women’s team beats Fiji in FIBA U18 Basketball Championships

The Fiji under 18 Basketball team

The Samoan women’s Under 18 team defeated Fiji 47-26 in the preliminary round of the FIBA U18 Basketball Championships at the Vodafone Arena.

The teams are vying for a single spot in the Women’s division to qualify for a spot in the 2017 FIBA U19 World Championship.

Meanwhile, the Australia women’s team thrashed Tahiti 125-5 this morning.

The Fiji men’s team will play Guam at 8.10 tonight.
