The road to the 2011 World Championships in Singapore begins today, as the Fiji netball team will have to be in the top two at the Pacific Cup Series to qualify.
Their first test comes in the first game against rivals Samoa, who coach Unaisi Rokoura feels will be very physical.
Rokoura feels that Samoa has had a few defeats from Fiji and they will be out to turn the tables on our girls.
Rokoura said that the girls have been preparing well for the past few months, and the other teams have also been doing the same, and this year’s competition will be tough.
Fiji meets Samoa in their first game at 2:30pm today, their second game is against hosts Cook Islands at 4:45pm.
Their last game is against PNG at 12pm tomorrow.
Fiji will need to finish in the top two at the Pacific Cup to qualify for the 2011 World Championships in Singapore.
