McDonalds Fiji have launched a fund raiser campaign to support the Road to Gold campaign for the Vodafone Fiji 7s team to the Rio Olympics.

With the Fiji team trying to get as much financial support as it can get before they head to Rio in July, McDonald’s Fiji has stepped on board to raise up to $15,000 for Ben Ryan and the players.

McDonald’s Fiji Managing Director, Marc McElrath said they are happy to assist the national side with whatever they can raise.

Meanwhile Fiji Sports Council CEO, Litiana Loabuka said they have to re-evaluate their target after Tropical Cyclone Winston.

Loabuka added that financial support has been phenomenal from supporters all over the world.

Meanwhile Ryan will name a 24 member squad after the London 7s to prepare for the Rio Olympics for two months at Uprising Beach Resort in Deuba next month.

The Rio Olympics will be held from the 5th to the 21st of August.
