Vanuatu’s soccer sensation and Lautoka import, Bong Kalo says Lautoka is now ready to win the OFC Champions League.

Kalo who joined Lautoka this year to strengthen the team’s attack, captained Vanuatu in the FIFA U‑20 World Cup in 2017 and scored against teams like Mexico and Germany.

Kalo scored his first senior international goal in the final of the 2017 Pacific Mini Games where he scored the game‑winner as Vanuatu defeated the Solomon Islands 3–2.

The 22-year-old midfielder who also had a stint with Switzerland based club, FC Ascona says he is ready to combine with top players like Benjamin Totori and Osea Vakatalesau to improve Lautoka’s attack.

Lautoka which finished second in their 2018 campaign will take on Papua New Guinea’s club FC Morobe Wawens in their first group match of the 2019 OFC Champions League.

The match will start at 4pm this Sunday at Churchill Park and you can catch the live commentary on our sister station, Radio Sargam.
