17-year-old Zafir Ali, also known as Jeff, is quickly becoming one of the rising stars of Rewa after scoring two goals against Ba in Round 9 of the Extra Premier League.
Ali, who is originally from Kasavu in Nausori, recently grabbed attention after scoring twice in Rewa’s latest EPL match, earning praise from fans and club officials alike.
Baulevu High School student, Ali is also captaining the club’s Under-17 side while playing for the Under-20 team, highlighting his rapid progression through the ranks.
For Ali balancing school and football remains part of the journey as his performance continue to show that dedication and hard work are beginning to pay off.
Rewa says the talented teenager was recently named Under-17 Player of the Tournament at the Muslim IDC in Ba after delivering standout performances throughout the competition.
The club says Ali also represented Fiji in the Under-16 squad that toured New Zealand during last year’s Pacific Cup, where he impressed by scoring several goals against overseas opposition.
Apart from football, the young star is also making a name for himself in futsal, showcasing his versatility and natural attacking ability.
Meanwhile, the 2026 BIC Fiji FACT pool matches will be held from 19th to 21st June, while the semifinal and final will be held the following weekend at Subrail Park in Labasa.
