Japan books spot in RWC quarterfinals for the very first time

Japan's 28-21 victory over Scotland last night has booked them a spot in the history books and also the quarterfinals of the Rugby World Cup for the first time.

Japan's victory has landed them top spot in Pool A with 19 points while Ireland settles for second with 16 points.

Japanese wing, Kenki Fukuoka scored twice for the Brave Blossoms to help them create history.

Japan will face South Africa in the last quarterfinal at 10.15pm this Sunday.

In other results, Tonga defeated USA 31-19 and Wales beat Uruguay 35-13.

These are the other quarterfinal fixtues; Australia will face England at 7.15pm this Saturday, the All Blacks take on Ireland at 10.15pm this Saturday while France will play Wales at 7.15pm this Sunday.
