In‑form winger Ben Lam is sticking with the Hurricanes for two more years.

Lam sees the Hurricanes as the bridge to the All Blacks, so he has decided to stick with New Zealand conference frontrunners for another two Super Rugby seasons as he attempts to push on to the international stage.

The 26‑year‑old winger, who has emerged as one of the genuine standouts in this year's Super Rugby, crossing for a competition‑leading eight tries, announced that he has recommitted to the Hurricanes until the end of the 2020 season.

Hooker Ricky Riccitelli also announced that he has recommitted to the Hurricanes, signing a long‑term contract that will keep him in the capital until the end of the 2021 season.

Flyhalf, Ihaia West will head to France at the end of the season to play for Top 14 side La Rochelle. He has signed a three‑year contract.

Meanwhile, the Hurricanes will meet the Chiefs at 7.35pm Friday.

With the Crusaders having a bye this weekend, Friday's winners will move to the top of the New Zealand conference.

In other matches, on Saturday, the Sunwolves meet the Blues at 3.05pm, the Rebels face the Jaguares at 5.15pm, the Highlanders take on the Brumbies at 7.35pm, the Waratahs meet the Reds at 9.45pm.

On Sunday, the Sharks take on the Bulls at 3.15am.
